What is normal  ,what is abnormal:

*Decrease nausea and vomiting

*Incraese abdominal size

*Baby  starts to press on internal organs as
  Stomach: this will lead to heartburn - indigestion - flatulance
  Bladder:  causing low bladder capacity - frequent micturation
 
*Abdominal size increase and this depends on:
   Tone of abdominal muscles
   Number of pregnancy
   Pre-pregnant size (abdominal size is less in fatty abdomen )

If significant increase or decrease in abdomen cosult your doctor to exclude decelerated fetal growth or decreased amniotic fluid or overweight baby

*Frequent uterine contractions
Consult if severe + vomiting or fever to exclude appendicitis or any stones


*More water retention
Exclude pregnancy toxemia
Swollen fingers difficult to pick up things
Numbness sensation

*Forget something you always remember

*Frequent falling due to
Bigger abdomen
Center of gravity is changed
Loosened joints and muscles

*loosened joints (relaxine hormone)
To accomodate the baby,ligaments , muscles , joints are loosened

*Fatigue (stress on body)

*Pain in the lower abdomen and groin (round ligament pain)
sudden and sharp due to strech of round ligament that suspend the uterus
Such pain increases with exercise - sleep - changing position during sleep

 Consult your doctor if with( fever - chills - nausea - painfull urination) to exclude stones - appendisitis - ovarian cyst

*Fetal kicks and hiccup are felt

*Weight gain 

*Strech of skin of abdomen and breast

*Backache

*Bleedy gum (due to increased blood volume + swellen gum )

*Edema
consult if red to exclude deep venous thrombosis

*Skin dark spots in skin - vulva - thigh - areola ,it fades after labor


What to do and what to avoid

*All analysis should be done

*Alpha feto- protein which gives idea about chromosomal structure and neural tube defect

*Wearing maternity clothes

*Eat frequent meals

*To avoid falling
low wide heals
SLow movement
Taking stairs slowly

*To avoid fatigue
Relax more
Take more sleep time
 Breathing exercise ( take deep breath from nose , keep it for seconds then release it from mouth )

*To avoid lower abdominal pain
Lay on opposite side of pain
Moderate heat pack to sides
Change the site which hurts
Acetominophen by doctor

*To decrease edema
Increase fluid intake
Puts your legs up
Socks to improve the circulation

*Best time to travel (during travel)
-Don't walk so much
-No spa
-Walk every hour to avoid clot formation
-Drink fluids to avoid dehydration which causes increase heart rate of the mother and the baby , and preterm labor
-Empty your bladder to avoid urinary tract infection

*For strech marks use special cream and vitamin E
